The Green Horseshoe completes. Milan Lenuci’s U of eight linked squares and parks around the new lower town is essentially finished, with the Art Pavilion, the Botanical Garden and Zrinjevac all in place. It is one of the finest pieces of nineteenth-century planning in Europe.
